LIMITED TO THE FIRST 50 REGISTRANTS!

A hands-on training track for IT professionals and programmers is back and better than ever!

Building on the success of the first-ever Hack-A-Thon last year, Hack-A-Thon 2.0 at Edge Indy features a track for newcomers to HP integration tools, and a NEW Advanced Track for people already familiar with – and using – HP APIs and SDKs.

This world-class training program for programmers, coders and other technical IT professionals will be led by an extended team of experts from HP R&D, along with key workflow partners. The Hack-A-Thon 2.0 program will empower all registrants to improve their technical skills in ways that help their companies integrate business and production systems to automate manual tasks and access additional value-add data – saving production time while uncovering unused capacity.

The NEW Advanced Track will feature a group-level “hacking project." Participants will use HP SDKs to create an HP Indigo JDF print job load balancing routine based on current press status, stocks loaded, inks available and more.

The program will take place during Edge Indy from Sunday, March 24 - Tuesday, March 26.

Please note: Hack-A-Thon attendees must designate themselves as a Hack-A-Thon Newcomer or Hack-A-Thon Advanced attendee during registration for Edge Indy. Newcomer seats are limited to the first 30 registrants, while the advanced track is limited to the first 20.

How can your team better use HP Indigo’s APIs, SDKs and integration tools? This Hack-a-Thon will produce integration heroes inside your business.

WHY: Integration and Automation are Critical Factors for Success

As HP’s Bob Raus often says, “Integration is the foundation of business automation.” The more efficient and automated your processes, and the better your systems work cohesively together, the more likely you'll maximize performance.

Many Dscoopers are benefiting from systems integration that use the HP toolsets taught here. They’re all facing the same challenges as your company:

  • Need to manage labor shortages
  • Higher volume of small jobs
  • Consistent color control for brands
  • Increased pressure for faster turnaround
  • Detailed reporting requirements

That’s why so many printers rely on the ability of PrintOS to optimize print operations, automate production and open new opportunities for growth.

HOW: Hands-On Doing, Learning & Collaborating

Attendees won’t just be learning from HP’s expert trainers. They’ll be doing, asking, chatting, coding, debugging … and succeeding.

They’ll learn how to leverage HP Indigo’s APIs and SDKs to benefit their companies in many ways, including:

  • Collecting production data automatically
  • Streamlining job submission
  • Tracking paper usage more effectively
  • Invoicing customers faster
  • Ensuring color accuracy
  • Calculating profitability for every job
  • Improving the overall order-to-shipping process

The Hack-a-Thon 2.0 will be collaborative, as participants meet and work alongside other IT pros with similar challenges and goals.
